Mitsubishi has announced that its base 2015 Mirage subcompact hatchback will be sold for $13,805, including a shipping fee of $810.
The new price reflects a $15 increase over the base 2014 model, according to a company release.
The increase can been attributed to a higher destination charge.
Mitsubishi did say that the midrange 2015 Mirage models received a $115 price increase, however.
Midrange 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage DE vehicles, which come equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), starts at $14,905, including shipping, according to the automaker.
A five-speed-manual-equipped 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage ES has been listed for a base price of $15,105, including shipping.
The top-of-the-line 2015 Mirage ES with a CVT and navigation package starts at $17,105, including shipping.
Interested customers should only expect minor changes for the 2015 model.
Changes include an interior seat fabric upgrade on the ES model, new chrome interior accent trim for all models, and a rear-mounted short pole antenna on all models, according to the automaker.
The Mirage was a new addition to Mitsubishi's 2014 U.S. portfolio.
Expect the 2015 Mirage to hit dealerships in the U.S. sometime this summer.
The new model competes with similar vehicles like the 2015 Chevrolet Spark, Ford Fiesta, and Mazda 2, among other models.
