The new Vauxhall Adam S hatchback, another version of the Adam city car sold in Europe, is reportedly "close to production" and set to debut on Tuesday at the Geneva Motor Show.
Vauxhall has announced the vehicle's specifications; the car features a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine with 148 horsepower and 162-pound-feet of torque, Autoblog reported.
The Adam has a six-speed manual transmission and 18-inch alloy wheels and reaches a top speed of 137 mph, according to a Vauxhall press release. The engine already abides by Euro 6 regulations, which are the future emission standards.
With "distinctive 'Red 'n' Roll styling," the Adam is a hint at upcoming production models.
"Its red body paint is paired with an anthracite grey roof enhanced by a special rear spoiler; the grille brand bar and door mirror caps both feature a sporty carbon-look," said the press release. "The front lip spoiler, side sill moldings and an extended rear bumper cut-out with a visible, bold exhaust tailpipe complete the ADAM S livery."
The new hatchback will also feature black rear privacy glass, LED tail lights and an IntelliLink system with connectivity and apps.
An infotainment system compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones, IntelliLink offers USB and Bluetooth connectivity as well as audio streaming. Its seven speakers and 7-inch high-definition color touchscreen will keep drivers connected through navigation, entertainment and more.
"The integration of Apple iOS devices into the system enables use of the Siri Eyes Free voice control function," said the press release. "It's safe and easy-to-use technology which makes ADAM the best connected small car on the market."
