Audi has confirmed that the 2015 Audi TT will debut at next month's Geneva Motor Show and has revealed a sketch of the new third-generation sports car.
The image is the first official look at the new TT, which is set to hit showrooms later this year, Motor Authority reported.
The new model is definitely influenced by the recent Allroad Shooting Brake concept from Audi, featuring the same horizontal lines and a similar singleframe grille, according to Motor Authority.
The latest model will also take cues from its original predecessor.
"Many details of the new Coupé's profile are reminiscent of the first generation's classic design," Audi said in a press release quoted by Jalopnik. "The sill contour forms a powerful light edge and the wide wheel arches constitute distinct geometrical entities."
The design has a newly "powerful, athletic look," Audi said.
Jalopnik noted that the car's headlamps and coupe also influenced by the Audi Sport Quattro Concept coupe.
The TT will feature LED headlights as an option and will run on a turbocharged, 2-liter, four-cylinder engine expected to produce around 220 horsepower.
Audi has also confirmed that the TT will have the "virtual cockpit," a 12.3-inch display right under the steering wheel, that was showcased at the recent Consumer Electronics Show. The driver's display can switch between "classic mode," which has a speedometer, and "infotainment mode" featuring navigation and other options, according to Motor Authority.
