Tesla has announced that its Supercharger network now reaches from Los Angeles to New York, according to the electric automaker.
The Supercharger network helps charge the automaker's flagship Model S sedan.
By 2015, Tesla hopes to cover 98 percent of the U.S. and select locations in Canada.
Tesla now has 71 Supercharger stations across North America, according to the automaker's website.
Most of the Supercharger stations have been built near major highway interchanges close to shopping centers, restaurants, and rest stops.
Tesla carefully chose locations for its Supercharger stations since the automaker wants its drivers to be able to take a break while their vehicles are being recharged.
The Superchargers provides 170 miles of range in just a 30 minute charge for the Model S EVs.
The Model S is sold for a base price of $69,900 and has a fuel economy rating of up to 94 city/ 97 highway, according to the automaker.
Company CEO Elon Musk tweeted about the milestone this weekend as well.
Tesla Motors did sell over 25,000 vehicles globally in 2013, including 19,000 vehicles in North America.
