Volkswagen has confirmed its 2014 Jetta TDI Value Edition will be sold for a base price of $22,115, including an $820 destination fee.
The vehicle was introduced earlier this month.
"Volkswagen is delighted that the Jetta, our biggest-selling model, has earned the highest 5-star overall crash test rating from the government-providing further validation that Volkswagen produces some of the safest vehicles in the industry," said Marc Trahan, Executive Vice President Group Quality, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc, according to the press release.
The price is $1,330 less than the 2014 Jetta TDI Clean Diesel option.
The Jetta TDI Clean Diesel competes with similar vehicles like the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel.
The Value Edition comes equipped features like the 2.0-liter TDI Clean Diesel engine, heated cloth seats, cruise control, a Media Device Interface, electric power steering, and 16-inch steel wheels.
A Sirius/XM Satellite Radio and two additional audio speakers are also featured according to VW.
Volkswagen designed the Jetta TDI Clean Diesel to make it "even more affordable," said automaker in a statement.
"Our vehicles have numerous safety technologies that work to help prevent collisions, and help protect occupants when an accident is unavoidable," said Trahan.
The Jetta TDI Value Edition is on sale now.
