Sony has revealed the "Gran Turismo 6" Red Bull X2014 concept during its two-day launch event that featured over 1,000 cars in the video game.
Called the "ultimate racecar," the vehicle will come in three editions: the Red Bull X2014 Fan car (X2014/F),) and the Red Bull X2014 Junior car (X2014/J) and the Red Bull X2014 Standard car (X2014/S, according to the company.
Each concept was designed by Adrian Newey, the chief technical officer for four-time Formula 1 champion Red Bull Racing.
The X2014 is a brand new take on a similar vehicle created by Newey for the video game franchise two years ago.
The previous vehicle, known as the X2010 fan concept from "Gran Turismo 5," created 1,557 horsepower from a twin-turbo V6 engine and exceeded out at more than 280 mph, according to Sony. It came with a large fan at the rear end that lowered the air pressure under the car's floor.
The X2014 will only exists in the game, as it would be hard for a human to driver to handle the vehicle.
Automakers like BMW, Mercedes and others have also created concept models for the game that will never be made in real life
Sony's "Gran Turismo 6" will be released internationally this week on December 6.
