A shoot for "Fast & Furious 7" in Atlanta this week was canceled after the sudden death of actor Paul Walker.
Shooting was scheduled in Atlanta for Dec. 2 but was cancelled after news broke that Walker had been killed in a car crash, according to TheWrap.
Director James Wan, producer Neal Moritz, and Universal Pictures have "constantly" been on the phone with one another to try figuring out what to do now since Walker had such an important role in the "Fast & Furious" franchise.
Production for the film was supposedly half way done when Walker and his business partner Roger Rodas were killed in a fiery car crash on Nov. 30. The "Furious" crew were on holiday break from production at the time.
Rodas' Porsche drove into a tree and burst into flames after a charity event in Santa Clarita, according to Yahoo.
"All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans," read a Universal Pictures statement. "We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."
Shooting was set to begin again this week, including many scenes that featured Walker, who played Brian O'Conner. Production was then going to move to Abu Dhabi later on this month, but that seems unlikely now.
Universal has not made any announcements regarding how the story or production would change as of press time.
"Fast & Furious 7" was set to come out July 11, 2014, a date that will likely change depending on what the studio decides to do.
"Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace," said actor and fellow "Fast & Furious" star Vin Diesel about Walker on Instagram.
Walker had also just recently filmed another movie called "Brick Mansions," according to IMDB. The film was in post-production as of Dec. 1.
