Actress Mayim Bialik has officially filed a lawsuit as part of a car accident she was involved in during the summer of 2012.
The Emmy-nominated actress also cleared up some false reports this week, including one that claimed she almost lost her hand.
"I did not almost lose my hand," Bialik said to E! News at the GLSEN's Respect Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel last week. "I sustained significant injuries for which I am still recovering and will continue to be recovering."
The lawsuit was filed against another driver and Hertz Rent-a-Car.

"I'm aware of it every day not being one hundred percent," Bialik said. "At least it wasn't my face torn open."
Bialik is known for playing Amy Farrah-Fowler on "The Big Bang Theory" and Blossom Russo on "Blossom," which ran in the 1990s.
She has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and a Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress for a Series, Miniseries, or TV Film.
