Though BMW won't debut its new 2014 4 Series Convertible until November, the automaker has finally revealed details regarding its new vehicle.
The new 4 Series Convertible will be offered in the U.S. as both a 428i, equipped with BMW's TwinPower Turbo 2.0-liter 4-cylinder and as a 435i with TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter inline six.
The automatic roof takes around 20 seconds to fold down while going at speeds up to 11 mph.
Both options feature a standard 8-speed sport automatic transmission, according to BMW.
The 428i Convertible will be offered with rear- wheel drive or with xDrive, BMW's all-wheel drive system, while the 435i Convertible will be available at with rear wheel drive.
BMW will make the 4 Series will be offered in Sport Line, Luxury Line and M Sport trims.
Sport Line vehicles come with 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels and a sportier appearance. Luxury Line models come with a custom wheel design as well.
The 2014 BMW 428i Convertible will be sold for a base price of $49,675, and the 2014 BMW 435i Convertible will have a starting price of $55,825. Both prices include $925 destination and handling fee.
Interested customers can expect the 2014 BMW 4 Series Convertible in U.S. showrooms by the first quarter of 2014.
