The iPhone 5S was released just three weeks ago, and while it's received good reviews from fans and critics alike since, a number of complaints have been sent to Apple from users claiming to have received the "Blue Screen of Death."
The "Blue Screen of Death" has not been an issue suffered by any previous Apple product before, as it usually occurs on a Microsoft Windows PC.
The error is reportedly occurring when a user tries switching apps while using the 5S, and instead of going to the next app, a blue screen pops up and then the device shuts down.
The issue has occurred when users have tried switching from apps like Numbers, Pages, and Keynote, according to The Huffington Post.
One solution mentioned so far is to close out of those apps before switching to another one. If that doesn't work, try turning off syncing iWork with the iCloud.
iWork is one of the main features used to get people to purchase either the iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C, and all devices sold after September come with iWork for free, according to Apple.
iPhone 5S apps are crashing at "twice the rate" they did for the iPhone 5, according to a source who spoke with AllThingsD.
Apple recently released an update for iOS 7 called iOS 7.0.2. The upgrade fixes a bug that allowed users to get through passcode security on the lockscreen, according to Apple.
Feel free to comment if you've been able to figure out how to stop the "Blue Screen of Death" for your Apple device.
