LA Auto Show 2013 Features 56 World Debuts; Green Technology, Luxury Vehicles Gone on Display Next Month

The Los Angeles Auto Show will unveil 22 new vehicles next month during its press days, making a total of 56 world debuts altogether, according to a press release.

World debuts will include the NISMO JUKE RS and a NISMO Concept from Nissan, as well as, four models from Mercedes-Benz, which will be revealed along with the brand's North American introductions of the GLA 250 and the S63.

Porsche added two new world debuts to its auto show lineup, in addition to the previously announced Macan, the manufacturer's highly anticipated SUV crossover vehicle.

BMW, Chevrolet, Ford Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Land Rover, MINI, Subaru and Toyota complete the list and all plan global introductions as part of the show.

New North American vehicles will also debut at the show, including the 4 Series Coupe, 4 Series Hybrid, i8, i3, 5 Series Sedan and 5 Series Gran Turismo from BMW.

The Jaguar C-X17, Cadillac Escalade, a high-performance model from Nissan, three vehicles from Volkswagen, including the e-Golf and five from Audi, will also be included in the U.S. auto show introductions.

"The LA Auto Show's consistent growth and commitment to remaining on the forefront of automotive technology, green innovation and automotive design will certainly be noticed with 2013's roster of major debuts," L.A. Auto Show president Lisa Kaz said in the press release.

The L.A. debut lineup will highlight rising trends in green technology, luxury vehicles and groundbreaking concept cars, according to the press release.

More than two dozen green vehicles will be featured at the show, including models from Acura, BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen. The green debuts will range from alternative fuel models to brand new plug-ins.

As consumers gain confidence in the economy, nearly 20 luxury vehicle debuts are also expected from automakers such as BMW, Maserati and Mercedes-Benz. Press days are Nov. 20-21, and public days are Nov. 22 to Dec. 1. General registration for the expo is available online.
