Pepsi Flavored Cheetos to be Sold in Japan, But How Does it Taste?

Frito-Lay will sell a limited-time Pepsi-flavored Cheetos in Japan, but U.S. hopefuls shouldn't get to excited as it won't be sold in America.

PepsiCo. Spokesman Jeff Dahncke said even if the snack is a success in Japan, the company won't be selling it in the U.S.

"The answer is no," said Dahncke, offering no further explanation, according to The Los Angeles Times.

The bright orange snacks will have a cola flavor that fizzes in your mouth after the first bite according to Impulsive Buy.

"The first sensation, which I did not expect, was a very acidic bite," the Impulsive Buy writer Steve wrote in an early product review. "It tries to capture the citrus notes of Pepsi, but it's over the top. Too lemony."

This isn't the first time Pepsi has joined forces with a snack food. Back in December, a Pepsi chicken chip snack was introduced in China.

If you're desperate to get your hands on a bag, they're available for purchase on eBay and Amazon.

"The mouth doesn't anticipate the combo, which actually makes it more pleasurable to the brain," says food scientist Steven Witherly, author of Why Humans Like Junk Food: The Inside Story on Why You Like Your Favorite Foods, according to USA Today. "If something looks like a Cheeto but tastes like a Pepsi, it wakes up the brain."

But what do you think? Should Pepsi release the chip in the U.S.? Or could we live without another snack food?
