2013 Frankfurt Auto Show News: Infiniti Q30 Concept Confirmed

Aug 09, 2013 09:12 AM EDT | Matt Mercuro

The Infiniti Q30 Concept will be revealed to the world at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.

The automaker expects the new vehicle to compete with the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, but Edmunds suggests they won't be able to in terms of size or price.

"The Q50 is designed to compete with the BMW 3 Series, Cadillac ATS and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Infiniti does not currently have a product to compete with the new entry-level Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class," said Edmunds about the vehicle.

The Q30 will be the first car made by the company that's been developed with the help of three-time Formula 1 champion Sebastian Vettel, who joined Infinit Motor Co. as Director of Performance.

No specifications are known as of press time.

The vehicle will be sold for a base price of $30,825 according to Edmunds.

"In our quest to appeal to the modern, young-minded premium customer, the Infiniti Q30 Concept has a distinctive style and reaches new levels of product quality," said Johan de Nysschen, President of Infiniti Motor Company, in a press statement.

The Frankfurt Auto Show will begin on Sept. 10, so make sure to check back then for more details.
