"Fast & Furious 7," the next installment in the blockbuster franchise, will reportedly feature a key race scene filmed in Colorado according to WestwordBlogs.com.
Universal is expected to spend $7 million shooting the scene, and will bring its own stunt drivers and crew members, instead of hiring locals.
Filming will begin in around five weeks, and shooting will take place for three or four weeks according to the report.
Actress Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty Ortiz in the franchise, was the one who confirmed shortly after the sixth installment that the seventh movie would begin filming this September according to the Inquisitr.
Back in May actor Vin Diesel also confirmed that filming for "Fast & Furious 7" will take place in locations like the Middle East according to a report by Digital Spy.
"We're definitely going back home, as you know from seeing Fast and Furious 6" said Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto, according to Digital Spy. "We will have a stint in Tokyo and there is the Middle East next, that could be very interesting."
Other locations have yet to be revealed as of press time.
Only one new actor has been confirmed for the next movie, action movie veteran Jason Statham. "The Transporter" star was revealed at the end of the "Fast & Furious 6" as (spoiler alert) villain Owen Shaw's brother.
"I really like the theme of this next one that we're going with. I can't really talk about it, but I like the theme; it's one that I really relate to," said director James Wan, who's taking over for Justin Lin, said according to Indiewire.com.
"Fast & Furious 7" will hit theatres on July 11, 2014 according to IMDB.com.
