The 2014 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse will make its official debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
Lamborghini released a teaser photo of the new car this week to give interested customers a glimpse at the new car.
The Gallardo LP 570-4 has been called "an extreme model inspired by the LP 570-4 Super Trofeo single-series race car" by Edmunds and it's hard to disagree so far.
The street-legal LP 570-4 Squadra Course shares a number of different components with the Super Trofeo, like a 570-hp V10, carbon-fiber rear wing engine that is removable according to Lamborghini.
The engine is linked to an automated-manual e-gear six-speed transmission that's shifted by using the vehicle's steering-wheel paddles.
Lamborghini claims the vehicle can go 0 to 60 in just 3.4 seconds, thanks to a number of improvements made to reduce the weight of the LP 570-4.
Confirmed specs include carbon fiber:
-door panels
-racing seats
-center console cover
The vehicle's launch date and production volume have yet to be announced.
The Frankfurt Auto Show takes place on where the new model is expected to be revealed officially for the first time.
