NASCAR has finalized the other half of its next big TV contract with NBC and cut broadcast ties with ESPN and Turner Sports according to the Sports Business Daily.
The report claims that NBC and Fox will share rights to the Sprint Cup Series starting with the 2015 season.
Sprint Cup races may air Sunday afternoons on NBC as a lead-in to Sunday Night Football according to the report.
Fox and NBC will share TV rights to the Nationwide Series, which has aired on ESPN since 2007.
The new race broadcast structure will be similar to the one used between Fox and NBC from 2001 through 2006 when first national TV deal in NASCAR history was reached.
Turner and ESPN meanwhile are losing one of its most popular programs.
"Turner Sports is proud of the partnership we've built with NASCAR over the past 31 years and the role our company has played in helping to grow the sport," said David Levy, Turner Broadcasting president of sales in a press statement. "We think NASCAR is an attractive property but we are disciplined in our approach to negotiating sports rights and could not come up with a business model that was financially prudent for our company."
ESPN and NASCAR have declined to comment as of press time. A press conference has been scheduled by NASCAR for 3:30 p.m. during which they will make a "major announcement."

FOX and NBC will also broadcast content on their all-sports networks NBC Sports Network and Fox Sports 1 according to the report.
NBC has been looking to add more live sports programs since rebranding its NBC Sports Network last year. It has also added more NHL and Formula One content since 2012.
