Police investing the abduction of a 20-year-old woman from a discount store found her body in the woods near a suburban Detroit area. The body was found two miles away from the store according to the Associated Press.
Brenna Machus, an assistant manager, earlier this week at a Family Dollar store in Dearborn.
Machus' co-worker Joseph Orlando, 20, found dead with at least one bullet wound as other employees were arriving to work on July 15. He was hired just a week earlier according to the Associated Press.
"I feel rather enraged we have another homicide in Dearborn," Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad said in a press statement after Machus' body was found.
A surveillance video camera was able to capture images of a suspect, who waved as he walked into the store the same night Orlando was murdered according to Haddad.
The man was wearing dark clothes with a hood over his head. His face wasn't seen in the video, but Haddad is hoping someone will recognize the clothing or the way the suspect walks.
An autopsy is scheduled for July 19 at the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office according to The Detroit Free Press.
"It's more like a walking nightmare," her father, Kenneth "Jamie" Machus Jr. said, after learning that his daughter's body had been identified. "That's the best way for me to describe" the situation.
The Family Dollar is in a local retail area on the west side of Dearborn according to the Associated Press.
