A 14-month-old from Oregon accidentally purchased a 1962 Austin-Healey Sprite on eBay this week while using her father's smartphone.
Paul Stoute said he realized the mistake after seeing an email confirmation from eBay about the car purchase according to KOIN.com.
Instead of pleading with the owner to put the vehicle back up for auction, Stoute and his wife decided to keep the car, though they don't have a garage to put it in so it will be stored at his parents condo instead.
Stoute has set up a website to help raise funds to restore the car according to KOIN.com.
"I've done a lot of body work in the past, like Bondo and stuff like that," he told KOIN. "But this is another realm altogether."

The now famous father has set up facial recognition technology and a new PIN code on his smartphone device to prevent his toddler from purchasing anymore cars.
Stoute said he isn't mad at his daughter, but is glad she didn't accidentally purchase the $38,000 Porsche he was looking at instead.
This is hardly the first time a kid has made a purchase online for a parent. Back in 2011, a 7-year-old bought a Harrier fighter jet for $113,000 according to NBC.com.
The boy didn't get to keep the jet however, as his dad canceled the purchase after realizing what had happened.
