Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher was uninjured after being involved in an accident while driving in New York City this weekend according to a report by the New York Post.

The current "NFL Today" host was driving north on Park Avenue at 1:12 p.m. in the Upper East Side when his Mercedes hit the passenger side of a Ford Fusion while turning left on East 92nd Street.

No one was hurt in the crash according to local police.

The driver of the Ford and Cowher, 56, both claimed they had a green light when the crash took place. Police did not arrest anyone at the scene of the crash, nor did they write any summonses according to the Post.

"With how banged up that car is, it's amazing no one was really hurt," said witness Jim Conner, according to the Post.

Cowher resigned as head coach of the Steelers in 2007 after guiding the team to a Super Bowl win against the Seattle Seahawks in 2006. He is one of two head coaches to guide his team to the playoffs in his first six seasons. Current Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has a shot to become the third coach if the Ravens make the playoffs this year.

Cowher recently purchased a condo in Manhattan according to Yahoo Sports, which had caused speculation that he's interested in becoming the next head coach of the New York Giants or Jets.
