Aston Martin officially revealed its brand-new Vanquish Volante this week and the new car will be sold for $300,820, including a $2,825 fee.
The new model will easily be the most expensive Vanquish ever sold with a base price $18,000 more than the 2014 Vanquish coupe. The coupe starts at approximately $282,820 according to a company press release.
Another car cheaper than the new Volante is the 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider which is sold for $268,250 according to Edmunds.
"This car is what luxury super GT driving is all about--great performance, fantastic style and exhilarating Volante motoring in one superb package," said Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez in a press statement.
The Vanquish Volante comes equipped with the same 565-hp 6.0-liter V12 engine found in the coupe according to Aston Martin. The engine is liked with a Touchtronic six-speed automatic transmission.
Aston Martin claims the new model will have a top speed of 183 mph. The company also promises 0-60 mph acceleration in around 4.0 seconds.
Also new to the Volante is its sunroof structure. The vehicle's lightweight fabric roof can be activated going at speeds of up to 30 mph and takes approximately 14 seconds to fold down.
Other new features include elongated side strakes, LED rear light blades, and a carbon-fiber body. The trunk is also 50-percent lighter than the one offered in the DBS convertible.
The 2014 Vanquish Volante is set to go on sale in the U.S. early next year.
