We are only a couple of months away from the start of Jeep Beach Week, and excitement is building for one of the largest annual gatherings of Jeep vehicles in the United States. Jeep wants to make that event memorable for its loyal customers, with the company launching a new special edition to commemorate Beach Week.

The model is known as the Wrangler Jeep Beach and is based on the new Wrangler High Tide. The Wrangler Jeep Beach features unique hood decals, making this vehicle a must-have for Jeep aficionados. Only 500 units of this special-edition model will be produced. Acquiring them will be pricey, though, with the price of the Jeep Beach model set to start at $50,835 (includes the $1,595 destination charge).

Jim Morrison, vice president and head of Jeep brand - North America, expects another huge event for the company, saying, "Along with Easter Jeep Safari in Moab each year, Jeep Beach week in Daytona Beach, Florida, is one of the largest Jeep vehicle events in the country, attracting more than 200,000 visitors and 20,000 Jeep SUVs in 2021 alone."

New models await Jeep customers as Beach Week nears

Morrison added that they listen to their customers, so they are celebrating their passion for beach-ready vehicles during this multiday event with the Jeep Beach and Wrangler High Tide special editions, as well as introducing their newest high-impact, High Velocity yellow exterior color.

The 2022 Wrangler High Tide, which is the basis for the special edition Jeep Beach, features a host of upgrades. The new High Tide trim for the Wrangler builds off the Sport S and comes equipped with the new Xtreme Recon Package.

The said package boosts the High Tide, adding 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels wrapped in 35-inch BF Goodrich T/A KO2 tires and a 1.5-inch (38 mm) suspension lift with uniquely tuned shocks. The 2022 Wrangler High Tide features are a reinforced hinge-gate, extended fender flares, a tire relocation kit, a jack spacer, and a 4.56 rear axle ratio.

Apart from the Xtreme Recon Package, buyers will find a Gorilla Glass windshield, rock rails, and LED lighting units on the Wrangler High Tide. Rounding out the highlights for this Jeep model are sand/slush mats, High Tide hood decals, and a body-color hardtop with a Sunrider Fliptop.

Both the High Tide and Jeep Beach variants come equipped with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that generates 285 horsepower (213 kW / 289 PS) and 260 pound-feet (352 Nm) of torque. The engine is mated with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system.

The new High Velocity yellow color that Morrison mentioned earlier will be available across the entire 2022 Wrangler lineup, including the 392 and 4xe, for $395. It is one of five colors available on the High Tide models, the others being Black, Bright White, Hydro Blue, and StingGray.
