Actor Vin Diesel recently confirmed that filming for "Fast & Furious 7" will take place in the Middle East according to a report by Digital Spy.
"We're definitely going back home, as you know from seeing Fast and Furious 6" said Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto, according to Digital Spy. "We will have a stint in Tokyo and there is the Middle East next, that could be very interesting."
Exact locations have yet to be revealed as of press time.
Diesel isn't the only star to reveal information about the new movie, as actress Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty Ortiz in the franchise, confirmed last week that a seventh movie will begin filming this September according to the Inquisitr.
"They just announced that 'Fast & Furious 7' shoots in September and will release in 2014 next year in July," said Rodriguez while on the show "Cafecito."
Multiple media outlets like ScreenCrush.com have said Universal is planning on releasing the movie on July 11, a fact not yet confirmed by the movie studio. Either way "Fast and Furious 7" is on track to become the first movie in the franchise's history to be released after June.
James Wan has already agreed to direct the next installment. Wan is known for his work with the "Saw" franchise as well as the movie "Insidious" according to IMDB.
No word on whether Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be back for the next film, but if you stuck around for the ending of "Fast & Furious 6" you'd know that (spoiler) Jason Statham is scheduled to be the new villain for the next film.
Johnson confirmed recently to Empire that Universal's goal is to eventually have his character leave the franchise to create movies that revolves around his character Luke Hobbs. Whether that happens for the 7th or 8th installment remains to be seen.
"Fast & Furious 6" made over $171 million since being released Memorial Day weekend.
