The 2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 represents the second-generation Colorado. The latest Colorado ZR2 is reported to have not spared any details to emerge as the best truck in its class. The 2017 Colorado ZR2 has been unveiled last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show. From such unveiling, it revealed its eager intention to be the ultimate off-road model.
Last month, however, Chevrolet has invited North American automotive experts and journalists to Grand Junction, Colorado. This is for the main purpose of showcasing what the ZR2 can perform and deliver altogether.
Such event has paved the way to have a conversation with point persons from Multimatic, which provided the ZR2 its shock absorbers. This has been developed in collaboration with engineers at Chevrolet to meet the specific needs of the truck.
The 2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is considered as the tougher and hotter version of Chevrolet's midsize Colorado pickup as it has gone through a battery of performance tests. It has been brought to the harsh and rugged terrains of the Rocky Mountains. Based on this test, its Multimatic shock absorbers has provided a remarkably good ride both on the pavement and on the dirt.
Its independent front suspension also has provided a comfortable ride given the tough terrain it faced. The shocks have also performed impressively even in high-speed off-roading. The 2017 Colorado ZR2 settles quickly that a direction change is possible just as turning the steering wheel.
The 2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 has two engines available. Both the 3.6-liter V-6 engine, which produces 308-horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque and the 2.8-liter turbodiesel (capable of 186-horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque) provide its much-needed power altogether. Certainly, the 2017 Colorado ZR2 is a great truck worthy to be comfortably sitting on top of everything else.
