The 2018 Jeep Cherokee is highly anticipated given the fact that the Cherokee is already a three-year-old model. It definitely needs a refreshed version and it is soon to come. Jeep has a major one in store in the form of the latest Cherokee.

The 2018 Jeep Cherokee has been recently spied and it did have interesting revelations. Well, it may be both interesting and disappointing. Spies and onlookers definitely saw details in spite of it being heavily disguised and camouflaged.

For one, it somehow suggests that the 2018 Cherokee comes with conventional headlights. There is an available undisguised mule, which shows what appears to be new radar sensors. The upcoming Cherokee will not come with the current split headlight design.

The LED daytime running lights are shown to be incorporated in the headlights, which are positioned higher than they are now. This is necessary to give the Cherokee a literal facelift. No details are left spared from eagle-eyed spies. Peeking through the camouflage is the corporate seven-slot grille and the radar moved in the center of the lower grille.

The nine-speed automatic transmission may make its transition from the Renegade and Compass. There is also an extreme version, the Cherokee Trackhawk with the upgraded version of its 3.2-liter V-6 engine. However, there is nothing conclusive in this report. FCA has yet to confirm the viability and legitimacy of this rumor.

Unfortunately, the current Cherokee somehow needs a little bit more improvement in terms of its safety features. It only received "Marginal" in small overlap test from IIHS. On the other hand, it did have "Good" ratings in all other crash tests. It is highly likely that the 2018 Jeep Cherokee continues to have all these features with considerable improvements.

The 2018 Jeep Cherokee starts production next month and eventually lands in showrooms in August. Pricing is not yet available, however, it is expected to have a price tag ranging from $24,790 to $35,990.
