A 30-year-old journalist totaled a brand new Lamborghini Gallardo 560-4 while on a press trip in China.
The engine and trunk, which is located in the front of the vehicle, were completely removed during the crash according to a report by Complex.com.
The crash took place on a wet stretch of a major highway just outside the city of Hangzhou in China.
Lamborghini had invited a number of journalist to test drive the vehicle for their respective publications.
The writer escaped the crash unharmed, but the same couldn't be said about the Gallardo.

The car is worth approximately 3.3 million yuan, or $550,000 USD according to Lamborghini.
The vehicle was originally unveiled at last year's Paris Auto Show.
Due to the extent of the damages suffered during the crash, Italian coupe will most likely not be able to be repaired.
The remaining parts will now be stripped and sold according to Car News China.
