Hyundai Motor Co. is recalling 121,835 sport utility vehicles in China to fix a faulty brake light switch according to Reuters.
The recall, which starts this week, covers ix35 cars made manufactured at its China product plant with BIAC Motor from April 9, 2010 and October 6, 2011 China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said on its website.
The government agency said that the recall is under way and that problems with the cars' electrical contacts could cause a malfunction.
The company did not say how many ix35 models the joint venture produced during that time period. Hyundai has also yet to reveal how many complaints they've received about the models.
Hyundai has stated that they will change the brake light switch for free to those suffering with the issue.

Owners of the ix35 have been asked to bring their vehicle's to a nearby dealership after receiving their letter in the mail notifying them of the recall.
