Who knew that singing at a gas station could get you on to late night television?
A video of a California couple, Will and Monifa Sims, has gone viral due to Will's incredible singing voice. Will is seen in the video signing to the gas pump as he puts gas into his car when all-of-a-sudden a TV starts talking to him.
The fake-anchor says that the couple's gas will be free if he performs a specific song. Will agrees, and as "an 80s kid," he chooses Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer."
Other customers gather around as Will belts out the song as if no one else was watching.
Monifa is the main reason the video has gone viral however, as it seems she's the only one of the entire audience that realized her husband was being pranked. She can be seen throughout the video laughing in the car.
The fake-anchor realizes Monifa is laughing at one point and asks Will if he wants to invite his wife out for a duet, which he declines.
"Nah, I'll leave her in there," Sims says according to the viral video.
As promised, the anchor tells Will that he is "livin' on a free tank of gas," which causes the new singing sensation to break out into an ad-libbed version of the song to show how excited he is to be "livin' on a tank of gas."
Monifa is then asked to get out of the car and sings a respectable cover of "Sweet Dreams" by the Eurythmics .
The duo impressed Leno so much, he invived them to be on the "Tonight Show" to sing with Leno's band.
