Nancy Grace Parking Lot: CNN Anchors Use Split Screen Chat While Standing Just a Few Feet Apart (VIDEO)

As an Arizona jury was deciding whether to find alleged boyfriend-killer Jodi Arias guilty of first degree murder, two reporters covering the case did their best to fool their viewers.

In a odd telecast this morning, two CNN reporters covering the trial spoke to one another to discuss the breaking news of three kidnapping victims escaping a 10-year imprisonment in Cleveland on live television using a split screen.

Discussing the kidnapping story isn't the issue, what does have millions of people up in arms is that the two reporters were right next to each other during the whole report acting as if it was a satellite interview.

The reporters, identified as Ashleigh Banfield and Nancy Grace of Headline News, were giving an update on the kidnapping, and used spilt screen to act as if one was nowhere near the other.

Upon first glance, it appears that the two are in separate locations, that is until a graphic appeared on the screen indicating that both reporters were live in Phoenix.

Shortly after the graphic appears, it's obvious that both reporters are speaking in a parking lot, but then the camera angle shows the same exact building behind them.

When the single frame shot switches back to the split screen, the same cars can be seen driving behind both reporters.

Based on the live report, gifs and videos which have since gone viral online, it seems the reporters were a mere 30 feet away from one another as the broadcast took place. Yet, the entire time Banfield and Grace act as if one is on the other side of the country.

This is hardly the first time a split-screen report has taken place in the same location, but for two people to be allowed to act like they're nowhere near each other seems like a blatant insult directed towards CNN's viewers.
