Mercedes-AMG recently announced the new Mercedes-AMG G65 Exclusive Edition that cost a staggering $313,850. This confirms that the G65 now is the second most expensive Mercedes vehicle money can buy.
The upgrades on the G65 are purely cosmetic but will include a model-specific under guard of stainless steel, rub strip inserts in a dark aluminum, AMG sport strips, and a matching painted wheel cover. Aside from the standard colors offered, this model will be available in a limited-edition matte Monza Gray Magno hue. It comes with 21-inch wheels with gloss black twin-spoke units accented by high-sheen rim flanges.
On the inside, there's a two-tone dashboard covered in leather. The Nappa leather upholstery will also receive a two-tone look and can be in several color combos. All seats will have a diamond pattern stitching on the center panels. Other goodies will include the multi-contour heated seats, leather grab handles, read seatbelts, and a two-tone AMG Performance steering wheel.
Under the hood, the Mercedes-AMG G65 Exclusive Edition will be powered by a biturbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 630 hp and a whopping 737 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.3 seconds and has a top speed of 143 mph.
Meanwhile, for buyers who are not into the Exclusive Edition, Mercedes is offering more affordable options. Buyers can check out the "design manufaktur" Edition of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz G350d for $119,883 and the G500 variant for $132,763.
Both vehicles will get the obsidian black exterior bits including the mirror caps, grille, and spare wheel cover. The vehicles are available in three different colors: designo mystic white, designo magma red, and obsidian black. They will also come with an AMG five-spoke alloy wheels in black with 19-inch tires.
Aside from the Mercedes-AMG G65 Exclusive Edition, its brother known as the G63 Exclusive Edition will cost $177,978. Deliveries of both Exclusive Edition variants are expected to start in December, and neither will be available in the U.S.
