Apple released their latest operating software today for the iPhone 5 only, an update designed to improve audio profile and speakerphone capabilities according to Apple.

Many media outlets have indicated that the update isn't one users will really notice, as the changes seem to be more behind the scenes.

To download iOS 6.1.4 from your iPhone, click Settings> General> Software Update and the entire update will appear on your screen. The package is approximately 11.5 MB according to Apple.

The iOS update came as a surprise to most people, as Apple usually delivers all updates to developers ahead of a public release. This was not the case however, as Apple didn't feel it was necessary to send it out early since it "doesn't contain any security" updates according to Apple.

No matter what the update does, users around the globe are wondering whether or not iOS 6.1.4 will be jailbroken. A successful jailbreak was not released for iOS 6.1.3, as many hackers felt the upgrade was not worth the time and effort.

If iOS 6.1.3 was not worth it for teams like the Evad3rs, who released a successful jailbreak for the iPhone earlier this year, than users should not expect one to be released for iOS 6.1.4.

Apple is currently busy working on iOS 7, which many believe will be released no later than July. If that is the case, the iPhone 5S will either be released shortly after iOS 7 is introduced or around the same time.

So for those who are still eagerly awaiting the next jailbreak, you shouldn't hold your breath. Once iOS 7 is released however, it will be a battle between hackers from all-over the world to see who can release one first.

It took the Evad3rs almost four months to release a jailbreak for the iPhone 5, so it will be interesting to see if it takes hackers longer once iOS 7 is released.

Over 20 million users downloaded the iOS 6 jailbreak called EvasiOn, and for six weeks their site was easily one of the most visited sites on the internet. The team released multiple updates until iOS 6.1.3 was issued.

The iOS 6.1.3 update blocked anyone from bypassing the iPhone lockscreen using its emergency call function, which allowed users to make a call or gain partial access to the phone's private data according to Forbes.
