Volkswagen has officially announced pricing for the new Beetle R-Line coupe. The new Beetle will cost $30,930, including the $795 destination charge according to a company press release.

The new model will start arriving at dealerships later this month.

The new Beetle is powered by VW's 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4. The engine now produces 210 hp, which is 10 better than the previous model, while torque remains at 207 lb.-ft.

The new engine is approximately eight pounds lighter than before, which improves the vehicle's fuel efficiency.

Volkswagen confirmed earlier this week that the engine will be produced at their Silao, Mexico plant.

The R-line model will replace the Beetle Turbo with Sunroof, Sound, and Navigation according to Volkswagen.

Standard features included with the new model are: 19-inch wheels, LED daytime headlights, a completely redesigned front and rear bumper and stainless steel trim interior.

Opening the doors reveals custom stainless-steel doorsills, while the dashboard panel is crafted from "chrome vanadium" according to Volkswagen.

The R-Line model with six-speed dual-clutch will cost approximately $1,100 more than the base Beetle vehicle according to Volkswagen.

The new Beetle joins the CC sedan, the Tiguan, and the Touareg in VW's R-Line family.
