The all-new 2019 Chevrolet Camaro is already getting a fresh mid-cycle facelift for the 2019 model year. The new spy shots that are now all over the internet, gives the public a first look at the updated sports car testing on some public mountain roads in Colorado.

It's very tempting to think that Chevy is developing a sports car that is unique, extra-aerodynamic limited-edition Camaro, everyone is confident that this schnoz is just a red herring. Unfortunately, because of the heavy camo that the new Camaro is wearing, it's impossible to identify any particular changes.

Chevy apparently did add a lot of camouflage just to hide its final look. The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro is distinguishable only by its side panels and roofline, which don't get much of updates than the current model.

From the A-pillar forward, the sports car is completely covered, as is the rear. Even though the overall shape of the car will be the same, the Camaro will still get some necessary changes on the design to its front and rear fascia.

Meanwhile, the biggest change will be mechanical. According to some reports, the entire Camaro lineup is expected to adopt Chevy's optional new 10-speed automatic, a similar transmission that is already available on the ZL1. A few features are also added to the cabin, and even more, technology will be added as well that is borrowed from its Cadillac ATS siblings.

Furthermore, the SS and ZL1 could have minor power bumps. What's important is that speculations suggest that the automaker will bring back the iconic Z/28 moniker, which hasn't been on the automotive market since the year 2015. The new Z/28 is said to exceed the 505 hp (376 kilowatts) offered on the current model, and will likely get the 7.0-liter V8 engine.

However, details on the 2019 model are still slim on exactly what Chevy will give when the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro makes its debut. But one thing is for sure; the 2019 Camaro will not get many major mechanical changes expect for a possible horsepower bump.
