Genesis has finally announced the pricing details for the all-new 2018 Genesis G80 sedan that starts at $42,725 including $975 destination. The price shows an increase of just $375 over the 2017 model year. The automaker also announced the pricing details for the whole 2018 G80 lineup, including the all-new G80 3.3T Sport and G80 5.0 Ultimate.
"We are especially excited about adding the new Sport trim to the enhanced 2018 G80 model line," General Manager of Genesis in the U.S., Erwin Raphael, said. "The multiple engineering and design enhancements in only its second year make a powerful statement about how the Genesis brand is on a never-ending mission to provide our customers with the best automobile possible while achieving improved performance capability and competitiveness within the midsize luxury sedan segment."
Updates to the new G80 will include a redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels, high mounted brake light, a revised slim, and a lower rear bumper with a chrome accent strip. On the inside, a brand new analog fuel gauge, a second USB port in the front center console, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2018 Genesis G80 sedan is powered by a 3.8-liter V6 that produces 311 hp and 293 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, a rearview camera, HID headlights with LED daytime running lights and beam assist, navigation with 8.0-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a driver position memory function, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and more.
In addition, customers have an option to avail the $5,000 3.8 Premium package and the $5,100 3.8 Ultimate package. The Premium package adds LED foglights, a 7.0-inch color LCD multi-information display, a panoramic sunroof, Lexicon 14-speaker Discrete Logic 7 audio, a wireless charging pad, ventilated front seats, a power rear sunshade, front and rear parking sensors, manual rear side window shades, and heated rear seats.
The Ultimate package adds sift-by-wire, premium leather seating, a full-color heads-up display, full LED headlights with dynamic bending light, and a power driver's seat cushion extender and side bolster. Other features include a genuine matte finish wood and aluminum trim, a multiview camera, a 9.2-inch touchscreen, a power trunk lid, dual mode front vent control, a Lexicon 17-speaker audio system, and a CO2 sensor.
The 2018 Genesis G80 sedan will be arriving at Genesis dealership this summer. The G80 Sport version is set to go on sale in May.
