Esurance, the direct-to-consumer personal car insurance company, announced today that they'll be continuing its promotional collaboration with Paramount Pictures by giving away approximately 30,000 tickets to see "Star Trek Into Darkness."

"Star Trek Into Darkness" is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2009 hit movie directed by J.J. Abrams. Winners of the tickets will receive instant notification with a special code to redeem their tickets.

"We are thrilled to offer movie fans a chance to see "Star Trek Into Darkness" with this massive free ticket program, and the unique, behind-the-scenes "Star Trek" content we have on our Facebook page is something that those fans will really enjoy," said Esurance Vice President of Marketing Darren Howard according to a company press release.

The tickets are good for one regular or 3-D viewing of the movie. Those who don't win tickets right away are "encouraged" by Esurance to continue to enter to try winning tickets.

Esurance has also released a national ad campaign that includes a television spot created by agent Leo-Burnett and produced by Abrams and Kelbin Optical, a division of Bad Robot. The comedic commercial features original "Star Trek" alien character created by the film's design team.

Advertisements will also appear on Esurance Facebook page and will stream on radio programs around the country.

"We developed a close collaboration with Esurance and our filmmaking team on this marketing program," said Lee Anne Stables , Executive Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Partnerships for Paramount in a company press release. "The creative television campaign is sure to build even more excitement around the release of 'Star Trek Into Darkness'."

"Star Trek Into Darkness" hits theatres May 17.
