Hybrids are definitely a hot ticket now as it gives impressive fuel economy. The 2018 Kia Optima Hybrid is the latest addition to the growing number of hybrids and industry experts consider it a relatively good Kia offering.
Kia only entered the US market for some twenty years and already it is now the eighth best selling brand in the country. With its impressive lineup released regularly, it may climb up higher in no time. It is known that Kia cars are rich with quality, teeming with advanced technologies and cutting-edge design.
The 2018 Kia Optima Hybrid is powered by 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle inline-four together with electric motor which produces a total of 192-horsepower. It is also capable of producing combined 271 pound-feet of torque mated with six-speed automatic transmission for front-wheel drive. It is also able to accelerate for zero to 60 mph in 7.9 seconds which may be a little slower than other hybrids.

The 2018 Kia Optima Hybrid comes with manually adjustable cloth seats and 16-inch wheels. For almost $5,000 more on the EX, one will get leather and heat to the front seats, 17-inch wheels, and 60/40 split-folding leather back seat. It also has 10-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system.
Having its fair share of misgivings, the 2018 Kia Optima Hybrid makes it less distinctive because of its design according to some experts. It does look like the mainstream Optima sedan lineup, only with few differences such as modern LEDs and its satin-finish accents, special badging, active grille, and unique front aero treatment.
In addition, fuel economy of the 2018 Kia Optima Hybrid earns EPA rating of 39 mpg in the city, 46 on the highway, and 42 mpg combined. This is considered adequately impressive which may be one of the primary considerations in buying this car.
The 2018 Kia Optima Hybrid is one to watch out for. It may go neck-and-neck with all other hybrids of its kind, but it does have a little extra to offer. It takes one to experience what this hybrid can do and everything else will make sense.
