Kris Humphries failed to appear at a scheduled court date earlier today, April 12, regarding his divorce settlement with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian according to celebrity news site TMZ.
Humphries was supposed to arrive by 8:30 for the hearing, which Kardashian was on time to, in Los Angeles. The Brooklyn Nets forward was seen at 1 a.m. in New York City however, and with no flights available to get him to the hearing in time, it was clear he would not make it to California for the court appearance.
The NBA player could be in trouble with the law now for his absence, especially since he's been the one dragging out the proceedings for a number of months. Kardashian on the other hand just wants to get the divorce with her estranged husband over with so she can move on with her life.

Humphries has dragged out the proceedings because he wants $7 million from Kardashian since he feels the entire marriage was just a scam. He also wants the marriage annulled rather than it to become an official divorce, which would require the reality star to admit she married Humphries just for financial opportunities and publicity according to E! News.
Kardashian has repeatedly denied that the marriage was a scam, and stated she did love Humphries at one point but the two rushed into marriage too quickly.
Kardashian has already moved on to another man, Grammy-winning rapper Kayne West. The two announced that they were expecting a child together this winter, which means if the divorce or annulment doesn't go through before the child is born, Humphries would be the presumed legal father of the baby.
