The biggest battle in "Dragon Ball Super" is only a few more weeks away where teams from different universes fight for their existence in the Tournament of Power. As for Universe 7, Goku went back to Earth to assemble his team. However, many are wondering as to why Goten and Trunks are not included when in the first place, they strong fighters.
Remember in "Dragon Ball Super" Episode 83, Goku has already explained as to why both Goten and Trunks are not recruited for Universe 7's team. Shin suggested to include both fighters as they not only have potential but also work together. Plus, they can do fusion for a much-needed power boost.
On the contrary, Goku was not too keen on the idea of bringing along both fighters as he still sees them as children who are too straightforward in battle. In other words, this is merely a tactical strategy in order to secure Universe 7's win in the Tournament of Powers.
Further, despite both Goten and Trunks being powerful, they lack the experience to battle fighters who have as much. And Goku sees that this will cause them to be eliminated from the Tournament of Powers faster than you could say "Fusion" by being simply pushed outside of the ring as their enemies are tricky. To top that off, it is already known that these two still have childish tendencies and are very prone at competing against each other, which ultimately could compromise the team's victory.
Now, Goku has only 38 hours to assemble an elite team of fighters willing to give all they've got in a battle for the existence of their universe in "Dragon Ball Super" Tournament of Power. However, this might be a tough challenge for the team as their lineup consists mostly of half-Saiyans. But the tables could still turn in their favor.
