Until now, there are still many reports claiming that the hit anime series "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will be released this year. The news immediately circulated all over the internet after one of Viz Media executives said it in an interview.
According to some reports, Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 is currently in the works amid the huge demand of millions of fans that a third installment is more than necessary. Even though it has been previously announced that another season is coming up for the popular anime series, no official details yet have been announced until now, which resulted in fans creating their own theories and predictions.
Some theories even suggest that on the upcoming third installment, it will feature a female character named Touka Kirishima, placing Ken Kaneki at the back seat. Speculations also suggest that the upcoming season will reveal the life of Touka Kirishima as she enters college and all the challenges or obstacles that will get her on the way.
Meanwhile, Haise Sasaki, a new lead character will be recruited and will become a member of the Quinx Squad in the upcoming season. The Quinx Squad consist of CCG investigators who are offering their professional services to the public.
Some fans claim that Haise Sasike is a reincarnation of the original main character, but there are also fans who think that Ken Kaneki is alive. A few theories suggest that Ken Kaneki has been abducted by Arima and now being given a new look and personality by the Commission of Counter Ghoul.
But despite all the theories and speculations, Viz Media clarified that Hamric misquoted and what he meant was "My Hero Academia." One Punch Man is also coming back with season 2, and both anime series will be the biggest releases on the anime side this year.
However, fans are still staying positive that a Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 will be created soon. According to Korea Portal, the upcoming season is slated for a July 2017 release date. But it is also important to keep in mind that Viz Media has not yet confirmed any of these theories and the release date remains a mystery.
