Maroon 5 Plans 2013 Honda Civic Tour With Special Guest Kelly Clarkson (VIDEO)

Honda Motor Co. announced this week that Grammy award winning recording artist Maroon 5 will headline the 2013 Honda Civic Tour.

The band will headline the 12 th consecutive year of the concert series during the second half of their current 2013 arena tour. Maroon 5 will also be joined by former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.

Supporting acts like PJ Morton, Rozzi Cranem and Tony Lucca have been announced for select dates.

"We are very excited to team up with the Honda Civic Tour," said Adam Levine according to the Associated Press. "Kelly, PJ, Rozzi and Tony are all such unique and amazing artists. I'm really looking forward to hitting the road with them. Each night will be a great night of music."

Since breaking on the scene in 2002, Maroon 5 has sold more than 17 million albums globally, and have gone gold and platinum in over 35 different countries. The band has topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with songs like "Makes Me Wonder," "Moves like Jagger," and "One More Night."

It's hard to believe it's been 11 years since Kelly Clarkson first captured the hearts of America in route to winning the very first "American Idol." Since then she's released five studio albums and sold 20 million albums worldwide. Clarkson has also topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart three times with songs like "A Moment Like This," "My Life Would Suck Without You," and "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)."

Those who are members of the Maroon 5 fan club will have access to pre-sale tickets through Ticketmaster starting today, April 1. Tickets go on sale to the public starting April 6 on Ticketmaster and LiveNation.
