This won’t come as a surprise to members of the Facebook Lexus RC Club, who oftentimes post pictures of the modifications they make to their RC F, RC Turbo, RC 300 AWD, and RC 350 F Sport Cars. On top of that, Lexus decided to customize an RC F Sport in real-time on Facebook Live.
According to Torque News, the most popular modification that people do to their Lexus’ is a cat-back exhaust system. Wheels and tire upgrades are also very common. However, some people like to take things further. RR Racing decided to modify the suspension and the engine components to enhance the performance of the RC F and RC cars without degrading drivability. Some of the modifiers came to a conclusion that it is better to upgrade an RC 300 with an engine tune rather than pay the extra for an RC 350.
As reported by Media Sports, the promotion called RC Real-Time that modified the RC F Sport in real time occurred on March 23rd, and it was done by Team One. Lexus provided the viewers with options for each section of the vehicle and asked them to vote. The luxury automaker completed the entire build in just 10 hours and gave the viewers a behind-the-scenes look at what is required to complete a custom vehicle in just a day.
Lexus is one of the first automotive companies to build a custom vehicle on Facebook Live based on votes from fans. Lexus’ spokesperson said that the promotion was aimed at everyone from the auto enthusiasts who love to customize and modify cars, to the younger and tech-savvy people that prefer to interact with the brand socially. He also noted that this is the first time any automaker has streamed the build of a car in real-time on Facebook Live.
