The 2017 Ford Escape has been newly engineered to make customers feel unstoppable with its new style and power upgrades. It's now equipped with more driver-assist technologies to give a much safe and easier driving, a new mobile connectivity that enables drivers to interact with their vehicle from anywhere via a smartphone app, and two brand new efficient EcoBoost engines.
The new Escape gets updated exterior styling, minor interior improvements, a brand new 1.5 four-cylinder engine and a modified 2.0-liter engine with a little more horsepower. Models with Sync 3 system also provide an ownership app and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. For its new safety features, it includes lane departure prevention, adaptive cruise control with forward collision alert and a drowsy driver warning system.
Escape is also Ford's first vehicle to make Auto Start-Stop standard with the two EcoBoost engines new to brand new model. This new technology senses when the car is sitting idle and automatically turns off the engine to conserve fuel.
The all new 2017 Ford Escape compact crossover SUV comes in S, SE, and Titanium trim levels. The S trim comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 168 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and available in front-wheel drive. Standard features include LED taillights, automatic headlights, 17-inch steel wheels, cruise control, a 4.2-inch central display, Bluetooth and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player and a USB port, MyKey parent controls, and much more.
For the SE trim level, it adds 17-inch alloy wheels, foglights, rear privacy glass, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear air vents, upgraded cloth upholstery, satellite radio, and a keyless entry keypad. Other features include an upgraded cloth upholstery, rear vents, an eight-way power adjustable driver seat and a rear center armrest.
Optional on the SE is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Each engine produces 179 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque and 245 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, respectively.
Finally, the Titanium trim level combines the SE package. It also includes a keyless entry and ignition, driver-seat memory settings, ambient interior lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a 10-speaker Sony audio system with HD radio.
The 2017 Ford Escape is offered in three new colors such as Canyon Ridge, White Gold, and Lighting Blue. The SE FWD has a starting price of $25,995, while the Titanium FWD starts at $29,995. Only the $24,495 S model cost more than before, by $500.
