BMW announced details of their new 3-series sedan just two weeks before the vehicle's worldwide debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show.
The new model will be on display Wed., March 27 at the BMW stand from 11:45 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. at the Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.
Two other BMW models will also be on display, the 3 series Gran Turismo and the Concept Active Tourer according to a company press release.
The new vehicle is powered by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine which according to a company press release can reach 180 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.
BMW estimates the vehicle can go 0 to 60 in just 7.2 seconds. Fuel economy numbers have yet to be confirmed, but BMW said this week to expect the vehicle to "exceed" 40 mpg on the highway.

The company has been known to underestimate their vehicles so there is a chance both numbers could actually be even better.
All-wheel and rear-wheel drive versions will be made available at dealerships, and a wagon option won't be too far behind after the official release date.
BMW has yet to comment how much the new vehicles will be, nor when they will be released. Both of those questions should be answered at the New York Auto Show later this month.
