The 2017 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid is set to arrive in April of this year. It is said to have more power and better mileage than the other MDX vehicles.
The hybrid version of the Acura MDX 2017 model is going on sale next month. The 2017 MDX Sport Hybrid is a three-row luxury SUV and the third in its lineup to get the three-motor Super Handling all-wheel drive system which is also offered on the NSX supercar and RLX sedan.
The new MDX Sport Hybrid will be made available for sale in the next coming month. The vehicle is set to retail starting at US$52,935.
This Acura hybrid vehicle has a 3.0-liter V6 engine under its hood along with three electric motors which when combined is able to produce 321 horsepower and 289 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. EPA ratings are 26 miles per gallon in city-driving and 27 miles per gallon on the highway which is 45 percent higher than the ratings of a standard MDX AWD.
Its features include an advanced Electro Servo braking system and an expanded-range Dynamics System with four driving modes namely Comfort, Normal, Sport, and Sport+. It also features Active Damper technology. Other features include a multi-angle rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic monitor, and automatic high beams.
Driver assist features found on the new Acura MDX Sport Hybrid are lane departure warning, a collision mitigation braking system, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, road departure mitigation, and adaptive cruise control.
The 2017 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid will come in two packages, the technology package and the advance package. The former retails at US$52,935 which is the starting price while the latter is priced US$6,040 more at US$58,975.
The technology package provides seating for seven passengers. The advanced package on the other hand is a six-passenger vehicle with captain's chairs at the second row along with a center console instead of the three-person bench found in the technology package. Both packages include exclusive interior trim, wood interior accents, and stainless steel pedals.
