The Accord Sport is, of course the manual type, integrating Honda's dependable manual gearboxes with a four-cylinder engine.
On the other hand, the Accord Hybrid is the extreme opposite, with the lack of manual gearbox nor an engine. The model's steering is not easy to handle while its brakes are unreliable as well.
However, the drivetrain of the Hybrid model is extremely nice. In fact, experts say this model has a lot of similarities to the concept of the Koenigsegg Regera. Both the Accord Hybrid and the Koenigsegg Regera do not have the traditional transmission as the engine only functions to power up the batteries. When the Accord Hybrid accelerates at a lower speed, the engine is not linked to the wheels, yet it still rev higher than what is required.
With regard to the drivetrain of the Accord Sport, experts say the steering is so much better to handle. The manual gearbox is also described as "excellent."
The Hybrid model may not perform harder than the Sport model because the latter provides the traditional driving experience. However, what is interesting in the former model is that it brings us forward to the future.
The personality of the Accord Hybrid may not be appreciated at the present time, as all eyes are still focused on the common personality of the Accord Sport with a manual gearbox. However, experts also mentioned that soon, in the future, people will begin to realize the beauty of the innovations of a Hybrid model, RoadAndTrack has noted.
