Honda Clarity plug-in hybrid and fully electric vehicles are set to debut in the upcoming New York Auto Show this April. Teaser photo has surfaced giving a sneak peek prior to its launch.
Honda has announced two more variants of the new Clarity to be launched next month. Honda will introduce the plug-in hybrid and the fully electric variants, which are additions to the Clarity Fuel Cell, where units were distributed late last year.
Of the two new variants, the automaker foresees the former to bring in the bulk of sales. This seems to comply with Honda's goal to acquire two-thirds of its global sales from their models run by electricity. Critics say the goal is quite ambitious as the company wants to achieve it by 2030.

Prior to the grand debut in the upcoming New York Auto Show next month, teaser photo has recently surfaced to pull up the excitement level. The photo shows the Clarity Fuel Cell being sandwiched by its two new siblings.
However, only the front section of the new sedans was shown in the teaser photo. Unfortunately, the two new variants were shown with blurred images and only the previously launched Clarity Fuel Cell has a clear picture in the middle of the two new models. MotorTrend reports that the plug-in hybrid and fully electric variants are expected to share the same platform with Clarity Fuel Cell.
Looking at the teaser photo, it seems that the two new siblings will have similar design with the first Clarity model. The limited image shown resembles the same form in terms of lighting fixtures.
In another report, the plug-in hybrid Clarity offers 40 miles of fully electric driving and turns to gasoline mode in an extended range. It is also planned to be sold in the 50 states of America. Whereas, the fully electric Clarity offers 80 miles of driving range.
Both new Clarity models are expected to sport the Honda Sensing assistance technology. In addition, the new vehicles' Display Audio dash interface will have support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, AppleInsider has noted.
Watch out for more spoilers in our next report prior to the debut of the new plug-in hybrid Clarity and fully electric Clarity in the upcoming New York Auto Show. The show will begin on April 14 and will close doors on April 23.
