McLaren 720S will come as a successor to the 650S. With 710 horsepower and a 0-62mph time of 2.9 seconds, the McLaren 720S is up there with some of the wildest Italian supercars.
According to Auto Evolution, McLaren 720S comes with massive headlight sockets meant to suck as much air as possible. The air will be channeled through the partially hollow doors and directed towards the complex rear deck with a help of a channel that continues the work of the doors. The British automaker confirmed that the engine powering the 720S is a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8.
Reports from Wheels Mag says that the McLaren 720S’s uprated twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine will accelerate from 0-200km/h in a Ferrari 488 GTB-beating time of 7.8 seconds. It has 710 horsepower, 568 pound-feet of torque and it needs 2.9 seconds to go from 0-62mph, 7.8 seconds from 0-124mph, and 21.8 seconds to go from 0-186mph.
According to GQ Magazine, the car is underpinned by a new Moncage II carbon fiber chassis. It incorporates an upper structure and windscreen surround. Compared to its predecessor, the 720S adopts a substantially more aggressive design to match the upgraded internals. On the inside, the steering wheel is perfectly sized, and there is a lot of hi-tech simplicity to the cockpit.
There is a new innovative digital instrument cluster called Folding Driver display that can be minimized for reduced distraction on the track. The new driver interface, together with the Central Infotainment Screen enables the driver to receive a comprehensive range of information via two high-definition screens. When Full Display Mode is activated, the Folding Driver Display shows a wide range of information. Meanwhile, Slim Display Mode only shows essential information in a single strip. It can be manually selected or automatically activated. More details about the new McLaren 720S will be released once the car is unveiled at Geneva International Motor Show.
