Fans of "Destiny" are mostly invested in the characters they play in the game. Sadly, gamers must let go of their former characters because Bungie will introduce new characters in "Destiny 2."
The game developer wants their players to have a new experience playing the game. So to speak, they wanted gamers to have a fresh start.
According to Coming Soon, players will not be able to have the powers and objects they had in the first game. Bungie believes that sequels are supposed to be the start of new adventures for players.
They are supposed to give new worlds to explore, stories to tell, powers to acquire and loot to learn. This the reason why the game developers decided that whatever players get in the first game will not be carried over in the sequel.
Nevertheless, fans can breathe a sigh of relief because the character personalization can be transported into "Destiny 2." However, players would have to reach Level 20 and complete the Black Garden mission for this to be possible.
"We know that, just like us, you have grown fond of the Guardians you've created, so we do plan to preserve your character personalization," Bungee said. "We are going to recognize the dedication and passion you've shown for this world. We also plan to award those veteran accounts with honors that reflect your Destiny 1 accomplishments."
According to Techno Buffalo, having to start from square one will allow newcomers to get in the game. This will also allow old users and their Guardian to see the world of the game in a new light.
As a farewell to "Destiny," Bungie will have a live event on March 15 called the Age of Triumph. The game developers explained that this is a fitting end to the first game.

In the event, players can look back on the three incredible years they had in the first game."Destiny 2" will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in fall.
