Pop princess Rihanna has obtained a restraining order to keep an obsessed fan at bay.

The temporary restraining order from the Los Angeles Superior Court demands that Steveland Barrow stay at least 100 yards away from the singer until the next court hearing on March 21.

Barrow allegedly broke into a Pacific Palisades house thinking it was Rihanna's and slept in a bed he believed was hers, a report from The Los Angeles Times stated.

The house actually belongs to Rihanna's neighbor, the article stated.

Rihanna reportedly requested a restraining order after Barrow was released from jail last week on a $58,000 bail, the Times reported. His whereabouts are unknown.

Barrow reported claimed he had been invited to the singer's house, and according to court documents, "removed various items from the home and slept in a bed thinking it was [Rihanna's]."

The report also indicated that when Barrow was arrested he possessed numerous pieces of poetry he intended to give the pop singer.

Rihanna stated that Barrow's actions have caused her to fear for her safety. The court filing stated that Barrow, "will go to great lengths to come into contact with (Rihanna) and has no regard for her privacy."

The March 21 hearing will determine wether to make the restraining order permanent, a report from E! Online stated.
