The new Volkswagen Arteon, which is considered as the replacement for the already discontinued VW CC, was revealed ahead of its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The Arteon is a five-door fastback which is expected to be released just above the eight-generation Volkswagen Passat, both of which share the same engine, chassis, platform, and interior design.
Volkswagen brand design head Klaus Bischoff is widely credited as the one behind the Arteon's styling. "The Arteon combines the design and elements of a classic sports car with the elegance and space of a fastback," Bischoff said in a statement acquired by Business Insider.

It terms of design, the Volkswagen Arteon retains the contemporary cues of the Sport Coupe Concept, upon which the car is modeled from. There are a handful of design changes, most prominent of which is on the car's grill which works quite well with the LED headlamps.
The Volkswagen Arteon will come in three styling packages: the standard model, the elegance, and the R-Line. The high-end model packs a high gloss black air intakes on its front, stylized bumpers, hints of chrome on the lower bodywork, chromed tailpipes, and an 18-inch alloy wheel set.
The Volkswagen Arteon will come in three turbocharged engine four-cylinder direct injection petrol engine. For those looking for a diesel model, there are three turbocharged four-cylinder common rail diesel engine choices.
According to Auto Car, the Arteon petrol engine lineup will include the new 1.5-liter engine which produces 148bhp. There are also two 2.0-liter petrol engines, one produces 187bhp while the other packs 276bhp. The diesel lineup all have a 2.0-liter engine.
