Diablo 3" Season 9 will soon be over. It will officially end on March 17 while Season 10 is set to start on March 31. Meanwhile, the "Rise of the Necromancer" DLC still has no official release date or price yet.
According to a report by MMORPG, Diablo III's website received an update. The end of Season 9 will be on March 17. Season 10 will start two weeks after. As always, all seasonal heroes complete with their stashes and Paragon levels will be transferred over into the non-seasonal version of the game.
The Seasons feature of Diablo III is the equivalent feature of Ladders from Diablo II. It was added in Patch 2.1 and is the game's endgame content. They are major events and are typically released in tandem with new patches, often premiering the new content. Patches are never applied mid-Season. Diablo 3 Season 10 will officially begin on March 31. With no announcement yet of the new 'Rise of the Necromancer' DLC, does this mean it won't be coming until Season 11?
Speaking of the new DLC, when will it come out? According to a report by Telegiz, the latest DLC is likely to come this year. Blizzard Entertainment, the game's developer, has revealed some new information on what fans can expect from the 'Rise of the Necromancer' expansion.
First, it is confirmed that the Necromancer's pet or minion will return in the next DLC. Some of these new summons will be temporary while the others will be made permanent. The pets/minions can also damage the hero's enemies.
One interesting new summon for "Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" are golems. Four to five golems will come as one of the new summons for the hero. In addition, the Witch Doctor class will lose poison-based spells and Iron Maiden will no longer be available. This is how Blizzard will try to separate the two classes from one another.
No official release date and price is available for the latest DLC. It could cost between $19.99 to $39.99 similar to the 'Reaper of Souls' expansion. The release date is likely to come in Spring so it could come any time now.
Will "Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" be released with Season 11? This is a likely possibility but has not been confirmed yet. However, we know that the latest DLC should be available this year so we could expect it in Q3 or Q4 with Season 11 or maybe even Season 12.
